Homeopathy
was first acknowlegded by Hipocrates from ancient
Greece. But it was studied and developed further
in the practices of Christian Friedrich Samuel
Hahnemann.
Hahnemann, a German doctor, tired of the standard
mediine of his time, abandoned his profession
in order to dedicate himself to translating medicine
books from other languages. When, in 1790, translanting
a medical book by a scottish physician named William
Cullen, Hahnemann suddenly changed his way of
thinking. In 1796, the German doctor publishes
Em 1796, publica a obra Ensaios sobre um novo
princípio para descobrir as virtudes curativas
das substâncias medicamentosas, where he
described the basics of this speciality of Medicine.
His work is considered to be the beggining of
Homeopathy.
In
Brazil, one of the greatest scholars on Homeopathy
was doctor Nilo Cairo, who in 1907, publishes
his work: “Pequeno Guia Homeopathico para
Uso do Povo” (Small Homeopathy Guide for
the use of the People), which soon sold out, na
later on in 1913, he publishes another book entitled

Homeopathy
is the way of treating the sick by the means of
medicine, which when given to a person in measurable
ways, induces in the target patient symptoms similar
to those which are intended to be healed. This theraputical
procedure stands on three principles:
|
|
A
Lei dos Semelhantes or "Similia similibius curantur
ou curentur", which is, let likes be cured by
likes. In this way, a certain remedy is given to apparently
healthy individuals produces certain signs and symptoms.
This very same remedy is given then (in small doses)
to those who are unhealthy ones who show similar signs
and symptoms of those healthy ones who took the medicine.
A Experimentação no Homem Sadio or "Experientia
in homine sano", which corresponds to the experimentation
by the sane man. This law is the main one which helps
finding the proper medication, enabling in this way
that the symptomatic manifestation of the sick and
the drug combine, strenghtening the mechanisms of
natural body defense aiming to the recovery of health.
Doses Mínimas (Minimal Doses) or "Doses
minimae" is the de-concentration of matter in
the homeopathical medication. The minimal doses of
medicine acquire the energetical and dynamical power
which acts slowly and effectively, without agression,
stimulating the natural mechanisms of organic defense.

|
Intending
to avoid the effects of medical aggravation by taking
down the toxic properties of medications, Hahnemann
discovered a way to release the medical properties
of a drug by providing the substances with a strong
sucussion in a liquid medium. So then the Dynamization
is the process in which the dynamic energy residing
in each substance, is released and powered up.
The homeopathical medications are obtainded from
many origins. All substances originate either as
a MOTHER-SOLUTIONS (soluble substances) or the as
MOTHER-GRINDINGS (unsoluble substances), from where
all of the medications are obtained.
